Dawn Merchant, owner of Dawn’s Delectables in Centralia, Washington, has been baking up delightful and tasty delectables for years. Dawn has been providing catering services and her baked goods to wholesale clients since 1998. Dawn first began her business back in Maryland, but has since opened up her storefront dessert and sandwich shoppe in historic downtown Centralia, where she has quickly made a name for herself in the local community and surrounding areas.
Dawn, a native of Lewis County, moved back home to her roots in 2012 with her dream of opening up her own storefront. That dream has been realized as we enter the fourth year of business in her shoppe. Dawn is a Veteran having served nine years in the United States Air Force. She is the mother of two sons, Jamar and Cameron.
Dawn’s passion for baking and serving up great food can be tasted in everything she makes. Her warm hospitality and excellent customer service are hallmarks of her success.

I’m often crafting the sandwiches at Dawn’s; making sure her standards for great quality are always met. I have worked here for about two years. I have a passion for fitness and food and I’m practically made of coffee. I am very blessed to be a part of the Dawn’s Delectables family. My favorite thing at Dawn’s is the Chicken Salad Salad. I can’t get enough…especially with pickles!
I started working at Dawn’s Delectables in June 2015. Over that time I’ve gotten to know my coworkers and call them my friends. We work hard and we work well together, but still love to have fun and make jokes during the slow times. Outside of work, I love being outdoors hiking, exploring or playing soccer. I also like to relax, play video games, and hang out with my friends.
I started working at Dawn’s in January 2015 and I absolutely love it. I have a passion for horses and God, and my favorite animal is the American Bison. I really love talking to people and it has been a complete blessing to work here with these beautiful ladies.
I started working at Dawn’s in February 2016. I absolutely love it. Dawn and Carla are the two best owners out there! As for me, I love being outdoors doing things such as hiking and fishing. My favorite sandwich at Dawn’s would be either our Turkey, Bacon, Pepperjack Panini or our new California Club.
I’ve been happily working at Dawn’s since October 2015. I’ve been baking and decorating desserts since I was a junior in high school, and studied at the South Puget Sound Community College Baking and Pastry Arts Program in College. A few things I love are Jesus, reading a good book, singing, crafting, and spending time with my husband Taylor and my puppy Boss!
